Enhancing veteran experiences

Enhancing veteran experiences

Every day, millions of veterans rely on VA digital services to access the benefits they've earned. Behind the scenes, Agile Six has been working to make those experiences better—faster, simpler, more accessible.

The scale of the challenge

The VA serves over 9 million veterans through a vast array of programs—healthcare, disability compensation, education benefits, home loans, and more. Each program has its own systems, processes, and legacy technology.

For veterans, navigating this complexity can be overwhelming. Finding the right form, understanding eligibility, completing applications—these shouldn't be hard, but too often they are.

Our approach

Agile Six has been part of the effort to modernize VA digital services for nearly a decade. Our approach focuses on three principles:

Start with veterans: Every project begins with understanding veteran needs. We conduct research, test prototypes, and measure outcomes based on veteran success.

Deliver incrementally: Rather than massive, multi-year rewrites, we make continuous improvements. This reduces risk and gets value to veterans faster.

Build for everyone: Accessibility isn't an afterthought. We design and build for veterans with disabilities, limited English proficiency, or limited technology access.

Real impact

The numbers tell part of the story—reduced processing times, higher completion rates, fewer call center contacts. But the real impact is in the individual veteran experiences:

  • The veteran who finally found and enrolled in a benefit they didn't know existed
  • The family caregiver who could check claim status without calling and waiting on hold
  • The disabled veteran who could complete a form without barriers

The work continues

Improving veteran experiences is a journey, not a destination. There's always more to do—more services to modernize, more pain points to address, more veterans to serve. We're proud to be part of this mission.
