A decade of purpose

This November marks a significant milestone for Agile Six: our 10th anniversary. A decade of building digital services that work for everyone. A decade of putting people first. A decade of purpose.
Where it all began
In 2014, our founders saw an opportunity. The U.S. Digital Service Playbook had just been released, laying out a vision for how government could deliver better digital services. They believed there had to be companies ready to help put those plays into practice.
Agile Six was born from that belief—a company dedicated to helping government agencies adopt modern, human-centered approaches to technology.
Early milestones
Our first major breakthrough came with the VA's CEDAR contract. It gave us the chance to prove that our approach worked: agile delivery, human-centered design, and a genuine focus on outcomes over outputs.
That success opened doors. We grew our work with the VA, expanded to CMS and CDC, and built a reputation for delivering results on some of government's most challenging projects.
Growing while staying true
As we've grown from a handful of people to over 100 Sixers, we've worked hard to maintain the culture that makes this company special. We're still remote-first. We still practice self-management. We still believe that when you take care of your people, they take care of the mission.
Looking ahead
Ten years in, our mission remains the same: make government services work better for the people who depend on them. The challenges are evolving—AI, cloud modernization, increasingly complex security requirements—but our approach is constant. Start with the user. Deliver iteratively. Learn and improve.
Here's to the next decade.
